I am an Australian living in St. John’s and am forming a non-profit group to serve as a starting point to connect people and make things happen.
The club would be a platform to make connections – business, intellectual, and social – with locals and others . Due to the ever increasing numbers of immigrants settling in St. John’s every year, the need for a way to people to make these connections is more important than ever before. There are many IT entrepreneur groups, both at MUN and elsewhere in the city (e.g. Common Ground), however these tend to be very individual/start-up based, missing the key elements of engagement and exchange.
In my efforts in building a catering company and becoming a food & tourism entrepreneur, I offer a non-profit group for like-minded people, or anyone who wants a place to connect and feel a part of society, and place to mingle and build partnership with other entrepreneurs that see other potential in sectors beyond IT. The group will be inclusive - no barriers or restrictions on age, sexual orientation, gender, religion, or ethnicity. This is open platform and all are welcome.
If you are interested in joining this group, or would like to share ideas about planning, please contact me.
