Bio
Dr. Paul Banahene Adjei is an Assistant Professor at the School of Social Work, Memorial University of Newfoundland. He holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor degree in social work from the University of Ghana. He is the current Chair of the PhD. Committee in the School of Social Work, MUN. Paul’s teaching and research interests are in the areas of adaptation and integration processes and challenges that new and old immigrants of African descents face in Canada and the United States. His writings draw on Critical Race, Anti-Black Racism theories, Anti-colonial, Spirituality, and Indigenous frameworks. Paul has published Eighteen refereed essays — Nine in scholarly journals and Nine as book chapter
