Cultural Tourism and Newfoundland Traditional Cuisine

Lay Summary 

The purpose of this study is to estimate the tourism potential of Newfoundland traditional cuisine and related customs, and to give a recommendation how this intangible heritage can be included and promoted in the tourist product of the province.

Research was conducted through a literature review and interviews with local people. The result was a collection of Newfoundland and Labrador traditional recipes for meals based on fish, moose and berries and a second section devoted to Newfoundland and Labrador alcohol and tourism, rum, beer and wines.
