Adult women ( 18 years and older) who use substances often go unreported and face significant barriers to accessing and receiving appropriate health care. They are heavily stigmatized and are frequently dismissed by healthcare professionals. The goal of this project to establish relationships with key stakeholders ( health professionals and women who use substances) to understand the health priorities for adult women who use substances. This project is the pre- planning for an exploratory sequential mixed methods study. The ultimate goal is to co-develop with stakeholders an innovative intervention to meet the unique needs of this population.
