The primary objective of the project is to improve energy-environmental governance in the North-East Region of North America (Eastern Canada, New England, New York) through sharing knowledge and information on what is being done in policy terms for fracking, hydro, alternative forms of energy production, including green energy. In recent times, issues of energy-environmental structuring have become silo-based, and competitive across both jurisdictions as well as policy fields. This needs to be reversed, and the research provides a common narrative, knowledge, and information both within energy-environmental sectors, and jurisdictions, but also across them. The work is approached from a historical-institutional and path dependency perspective.
