Lay Summary
This community-based project involved working with families on the south coast of Labrador in collecting photos that represent the continuity of cultural traditions. Families submitted present day photos of children participating in traditional activities that reflect the culture of the region. They also provided old photos of people from the region engaged in similar activities when they were children. The photos were used to create a poster reflecting the children and the cultural traditions. A book of the photos is also being created. The book and poster represent the Intergenerational Teachings Project and are scheduled to be launched on the south coast in the spring of 2017.
