This online course (Brightspace shell) introduces Memorial's students to the Maritime History Archive (MHA), housed in the Henrietta Harvey building at Memorial. It also teaches students the foundational skills required for handling and using archival materials. It was funded by CITL's Teaching and Learning Fund and led by a team from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, led by Dr. Lynne Phillips and MHA Head Archivist Heather Wareham. Other collaborators included Dr. Karen Standbridge, Sociology; Grants Facilitator Kelley Bromley-Brits; and Communications Adviser Janet Harron, FHSS. CITL producers were involved in the filming of the majority of the course's visual materials. The course is now available through Memorial's D2L online learning system.
