This project will examine food processes in St Anthony and surrounding communities. We are interested in learning about self-provisioning, which includes activities like home gardens, community gardens, foraging, hydroponics, and many other fresh fruit and vegetable production and gathering methods. The project will aim to understand the wide range of food skills and knowledge in the St Anthony region, and identify the level of self-provisioning in the community. The project will also map out food assets and infrastructure. The project is led by Brenda Whyatt, who is a Nurse Educator at the Western Regional School of Nursing, and will include community partners in the St. Anthony area.
