Knowing Our Places in a Knowledge-Based Economy
The new knowledge-based workplace, like the old, is built by needy people out of the needs they share with the things they try to know. Needs generate resources when they are accurately identified by those who own the language used to explore the problems faced. No work place is location-free. A healthy “knowledge workplace” is located where the threats and opportunities are effectively shared and the kind of communication used is mutually expressive for all.
